The Aftermath of a Dog's Day Out

What started off as an overcast day and got everyone worried, later turned out to be a fantastic day with clear blue skies and everything nice.

In fact, the weather was so scorching hot that the dogs were panting and seeking shade and water, while their owners were drenched in perspiration and getting sunburnt.

Dogs were dressed in their very best - some dogs dressed better than their owners! It was a sight to behold.

There were agility demonstrations and whilst some dog's showed off their impressive skills, some dog owners were seen coaxing their little trembling doggies to go up the agility slide.

Many people came to our booth to buy cakes and meatballs for their beloved furry friends, who then gobbled it down in a jiffy. There were some dogs that were panting way too much from the heat and were not interested in eating at all. Dont worry - our feelings were not hurt. We know how hot they were, what with all that fur they have on.

Tokyo, a cute mini Schnauzer, turned three last week and her mommy (Emily) and daddy (Ken) took her to US Doggie Bakery to celebrate her birthday. It was her very first birthday cake and Tokyo was absolutely delighted and excited but she behaved like a sweet little dog and posed patiently for a LONG, LONG time while mommy and daddy enjoyed THEMSELVES taking pictures, posing with dog, posing with cake :-)

Our customer, Yen Leng, had a birthday celebration with her two JRTs and a CAT!

Patch just turned 12 years old and he had a lovely birthday celebration with goodies from US Doggie Bakery, including a yummy cake and freshly baked cookies.

Patch loved the cake, as you can see from the happy photographs! Even the CAT, Moggie, Patches' best friend, like the doggie cake!

The Pets Carnival last Sunday at Jurong West was a blast. Many dog owners showed up with their doggies, dressed in their Sunday best! The doggies were dressed in their Sunday best, not the owners :-)

US Doggie Bakery gave out doggie goody bags, as well as sponsored the top 3 prizes for the Best Dressed Dog event.

"Pet Fever" at Temasek Junior College

Students at Temasek Junior College held a Pet Fever Day on April 15, 2009. This was a special day for the students as they were allowed to bring their pets to school with them! US Doggie Bakery attended the event and sponsored goody bags to all students who brought their dogs to school.

It was a full day event by Temasek JC whereby they invited various organizations to their school - these included Pet Lovers Centre, Noah's Ark Cares, ACRES as well as US Doggie Bakery. It was a fun day and you could see the joy on the doggies faces when they were treated to our cookies and muffins. One dog loves our muffins so much, it couldn't wait for the owner to open it and even gobbled up the wrapper on the muffin! We hope that came out later!!

US Doggie Bakery celebrated "Easter with your dog" on April 10. The much anticipated outdoor party was spoiled when it started raining hours before the party was due to start. And disappointingly, it poured and I mean POURED throughout the party and didn't stop till our party almost ended! Poor dogs . . . . .and poor us. We were all huddled in the shop and with space constraints, some dogs were getting edgy when other dogs came too close for comfort!

Despite that, we managed to play one game - Resist the Temptation, where owners had to put a plate of lamb meatballs and pizza slices in front of their dogs, without having them eat it. Needless to say, most dogs reckoned they were playing the fastest eater!! They gobbled up everything on the plate in a few seconds flat! Except for a few dogs who were too polite to eat in public :-) They resisted the food with grace, and won themselves a $5 US Doggie Bakery voucher. With that voucher, they could buy more food and then go home and gobble it up in the comforts of their own home without having to be too polite.

One of our customers celebrated his doggie's birthday during the Easter Party. Their adopted Fox Terrier, Racer, turned two and they generously treated all the doggie guests to our fruit jelly cake. More gobbling for the lucky dogs. And guess what? Owners were seen licking their fingers while their dogs licked the plates!!

Class 95's Dog Walk 2009

The Class 95 Dog Walk was a fun event with beautiful sunny blue skies. The queue for the goodie bag snaked from the Bishan Dog Run all the way down to the bus stop. Anyone driving past would have thought it was a Great Singapore Sale, except dogs were in the queue! US Doggie Bakery (link to http://www.usdb.com.sg/) was one of the proud sponsors of the event and we were delighted to see dogs eating our yummy Easter cookies after the walk - perhaps a treat from the proud owners for completing the 1.3km walk.
